Initial assessment and preparation
We start by thoroughly inspecting your existing concrete to ensure it is ready for a coating. We carefully check for cracks, damage, moisture concerns, and any other problem areas that require attention before the coating is applied. This crucial first step guarantees a strong foundation for your new floor.
Concrete surface grinding
Next, we meticulously prepare the concrete by grinding the surface. This vital step ensures optimal bonding for the coating, significantly contributing to the floor's longevity and preventing future peeling or failure. Proper preparation is the cornerstone of a durable epoxy floor.
Final steps
After the floor is prepped, we repair cracks, pits, and rough spots to create a cleaner surface. Then we lay down a moisture barrier to help protect the floor from moisture coming through the concrete.
Once that is done, we apply the base coat and broadcast the decorative flakes across the floor to give it that finished, custom look.
After the flakes set, we scrape and clean the surface so it feels smooth and even. Then we apply the clear topcoat, which helps protect the floor from wear, spills, moisture, dirt, and everyday use.
